BUILT FROM THE SALES FLOOR
The work between
the leads and the keys.
I started LotTrail to spend less time preparing cars for Marketplace and more time doing the work that happens on the sales floor. Deal Builder grew from the same need: clear estimates without repetitive steps.

Built around the work I do every day.
A NOTE FROM THE CREATOR
Michael Melton II
I have very little patience for repetitive work. If I’m copying the same information over and over, I’m going to find a way to stop doing it.
I’d tried posting cars on Facebook Marketplace, but I was never consistent. Between saving photos, entering the details and writing each listing, the time I put in rarely felt worth the response I got. It was easy to put it off.
I started by making listing preparation faster. Then I added a way for salespeople to build and explain purchase estimates from the actual figures in front of them.
WHERE I’M TAKING IT
Start with the vehicle.
Finish the useful work.
My focus is the work between a vehicle and a customer decision: get a Marketplace draft ready from approved inventory, and build a purchase estimate from confirmed deal inputs. Both come from work I do myself on the sales floor.
I use Trail Buddy in my own listing work and keep refining it from what happens in practice. The connected website workspace remains in controlled owner testing while I prepare a broader dealership pilot.
I want to make these tools useful for other salespeople and dealerships too. Before broader access, each dealership needs an approved inventory source and its own confirmed pricing and fee rules.
